For the Building project, the EVOL street artist turns street furniture into miniature high-rise blocks, complete with graffiti and monsters. German artists display their works in warehouses and local streets for everyone to enjoy. The intricate details of each part are very realistic, and it's fun to see something boring and functional turn into something that will make people smile.

The independent artist Ronzo describes himself as an 'Extraordinary Vandal'. On his website he claims that he exists because "This fragile earth deserves sound". We are not sure what he means by that, but we like it.

The 2012 Birdz Project from the artist saw colorful bird statues appear in London's Brick Lane and council area, along with graffiti murals of 'Olympic Birds' and 'Monster Credit Crunch' placed in a building overlooking the Old Truman Brewery.

Vj Suave is a collaboration between artist Ygor Marotta, originally from Brazil, and Cecilia Soloaga, from Argentina. The duo makes a live visual show using a mixture of character illustrations, animations and projections. This video shows a series of intricate designs and colorful characters that live and walk on the streets. A truly unique street art event.

Kello Goeller brings pixel art to the streets of New York

Kello Goeller brings pixel art to a new dimension in this amazing sculpture. The work, titled Pixel Pour 2.0, is made of wood and latex, and can be found on Mercer Street in New York. Goeller is a multidisciplinary performance artist, and currently can be found making 'dreams' in Portland.

French artist Invader completes an 8-bit work behind a mask

French UFA ('free unknown artist') Invader has stormed cities around the world with its perfect pixilistic artwork for years. He always completes his work behind the mask, so as not to give his identity. This project, titled Space Invaders, was inspired by the first generation arcade game. Characters are made from tiles that are cemented to the wall, and Invader has prepared a grading system for them, with each character rating between 10 and 50, depending on their size.

Peter Gibson, aka Roadsworth, began his painting journey painting the streets of Montrealo. Originally motivated by the desire for more bicycle paths in the city and questions about the 'car culture' of the world in general, the artist then moved to larger, more ambitious urban landscapes and projects - including the Popsilos project above. In 2004, Roadsworth was arrested and charged with 53 counts of damage. Despite heavy fines, he continued his search for street art.

Finnish sculptor Miina Akkijyrkka has something for cows. He explored his home country to use a used vehicle and turn it into a large animal statue. The artist has worked his magic for 50 impressive years.

Part of an initiative that uses art to campaign for environmental problems

Alexandre Farto, who worked under the Vhils moniker, was a street artist from Portugal. He has been famous for his murals, made using relief carving techniques which involve cutting directly into walls or removing layers of advertising posters.

The above artwork, located in Sumatra, Indonesia, aims to raise awareness about new orangutan species that have been threatened with extinction due to unregulated oil palm farming and irresponsible construction in their natural habitat. This work is part of Splash and Burn - an initiative that uses art as a way to draw attention to environmental issues.

It's so hot on Tamarara beach in Australia that this ice cream truck is melting! OK, you have us, it's actually a brilliant street art sculpture made by artists at The Glue Society. The installation, titled Hot With The Chance of Late Storm, was shown on the beach during the opening of the 10th annual Sculpture By The Sea exhibition in 2006.

JR artist nicknamed 'French Banksy'

Photographer and street artist JR street art French artists began during the Paris riots of 2005. Angered by the way the regions involved were presented in the media, he took photographs of residents who drew funny faces and flew them around the city.

His passionate and often didactic work has since appeared in remote areas throughout the world, from the suburbs of Paris to the slums of Rio. He was also arrested in China, and in 2011 was awarded a TED prize, valued at $ 100,000.
